Villages of Note in the Balchik Area
Often overlooked are the lovely villages in the region, offering traditional village life whilst being close to the coast.
Sernets is not a village that is often advertised as properties are difficult to come by here. The village is in the mountains with genuinely breathtaking views of the valleys and hills, plus lake and forest, yet only 35 km from Dobrich and close to Tervel.
Only 10km to the north of Shabla and only a few kilometers away from the Bulgarian-Romanian border, the village of Krapets is a typical rural settlement, with small one-storey houses yet has all the necessary facilities on its coastal side. The village is excellent for relaxation for those tired of crowded resorts thanks to its serenity, bird life, and natural reserves. The lush and verdant foliage of the beautiful village of Bdintsi, only 20 km from the administrative centre of Dobrich hides a nicely developed village with shops, bar, Church. Bolgarevo, located right on the Northern Black Sea coast is only 1 km from the beaches and 8km from Kavarna and the new golf courses, Bolgarevo is becoming very popular with European buyers. The village of Karapelit is peaceful and rural, located 20 km, 15 min. drive from Dobrich; 75 km (45 min. drive) from Varna international airport; 55 km (40 min. drive) from Albena beach resort and Balchik town and spa resort. The infrastructure of the region allows easy and fast access to all the hotspots and places of interest along the northern Black sea coast – an hours drive to the most distant point – Durankulak natural fishing lake and reserve. Around the village there are several forests with wild boar for hunting, and fields. Vasilevo is a well-located village approximately 20 km from Kavarna and 30 km from Dobrich. It has a highly developed infrastructure with numerous shops, restaurants, schools and medical facilities, with broad asphalt roads.
